General terms and conditions of sale
for the ESi Grand Tourmalet ski school

PARTICIPATION:

Participation in the courses requires good health (please contact us for specific cases), appropriate winter sports equipment, good behavior towards other participants and the instructor, and adherence to the instructor's instructions. Minimum requirements: Group lessons for children and adults, in 5 or 6-day or weekend course formats, are guaranteed with a minimum of 3 people per discipline and per level.

Children aged 3 and 4:

Enrolling a child between 3 and 4 years old in a group lesson requires proof of age at the time of booking. Participant level: The homogeneity of participants' levels ensures the smooth running of the lesson. As levels cannot be verified in advance, participants are responsible for the level in which they register. Consequently, the ESI Grand Tourmalet Ski School and its instructors reserve the right to transfer any participant whose level is not that declared at the time of booking to a more suitable group, subject to the existence of such a group and availability. The participant will not be entitled to any refund or compensation as a result of this, which is solely due to their declaration.

MANAGEMENT :

Our instructors are state-certified professionals in their respective fields (or are currently working towards their state certification). Participation in courses is subject to their assessment based on moral and physical aptitude.

SECURITY :

The feasibility of any program is subject to the instructors' assessment based on weather and snow conditions, as well as the participants' abilities. All instructors have radio or telephone contact with the Ski Patrol and the central office of the ski school.

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENTS:

Course registrations are by reservation on fixed dates and after acceptance by us, via our website, by email, by telephone or at our on-site sales offices.

  • FOR ONLINE SALES: The customer follows the online sales procedure, with the option to correct their shopping cart and information. The customer confirms their order, committing to purchase and secure payment. Upon receipt of full payment, the ESI Grand Tourmalet Ski School acknowledges receipt of the order by email. After verifying the order, the ESI Grand Tourmalet Ski School sends the invoice
  • FOR DISTANCE SALES BY PHONE OR EMAIL: Registration is completed after the necessary information has been collected. This is followed by full payment by credit card, check, bank transfer, or holiday vouchers, upon receipt of which the ESI Grand Tourmalet Ski School will send the invoice. Right of withdrawal: In accordance with Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, the consumer does not have a right of withdrawal when booking lessons remotely for a specific date or period.
  • FOR ON-SITE SALES: Registration is done upon collection of necessary information and validated once full payment has been made (cash, bank card, bank check, holiday vouchers).

RATES/COMMERCIAL AGREEMENT:

Our rates are available on our website, in our brochure, and on the notices displayed in our on-site offices. Our rates include, to the exclusion of any other service, individual or group instruction by our instructors, and a medal for children and teenagers enrolled in the 6-session Group Lessons, Wednesday Ski Clubs, and Snow Hunt Clubs.

Any price reduction under a commercial agreement is valid exclusively:

  • Upon presentation of proof of purchase from one of our partners – for purchases made in-store, excluding online purchases. Discounts cannot be combined with any other offer and cannot be applied retroactively (e.g., after a purchase has been registered). All discounts are applicable from the opening of our schedule (around the beginning of October 2025) for the 2025/2026 season and may be modified at any time by the ESI Grand Tourmalet Ski School.

CANCELLATION or INTERRUPTION BY THE CUSTOMER / REFUND

Cancellation of a reservation before the start of the service:

  • If the customer has purchased personal cancellation insurance, they should refer to the terms and conditions of that insurance.
  • If the client has purchased the insurance offered by the ESI Grand Tourmalet Ski School, the ESI Grand Tourmalet Ski School will not process the client's claim. ( Mondial Assistance contract no. 304188, available on our website)
  • Any modification or cancellation of services sold by the ESI Grand Tourmalet Ski School must be received by the ESI Grand Tourmalet International Ski School at least 15 days before the scheduled start date and time of the service to be eligible for a refund. A 10% administration fee will be deducted from the refund of the total amount of the booked services.

Otherwise, the client will not be entitled to any refund. After these deadlines, the only recourse will be to refer to the terms of the insurance policy purchased. Interruption during the service: - if a participant is absent at the start of the lesson, their price will not be refunded and the lesson will not be exchanged for another lesson. - if a participant has an accident preventing them from continuing the service, they must refer to the terms of their cancellation insurance. For refunds on ski lessons in case of accidents, injuries, illness, or trip cancellation, we suggest that clients have taken out or purchase insurance with their insurer, bank, or ski pass retailer. CANCELLATION OR INTERRUPTION BY THE GRANDTOURMALET ESi SKI SCHOOL / REFUND:

The Grand Tourmalet International Ski School (ESi) reserves the right to cancel or interrupt lessons, particularly in cases of force majeure. Force majeure includes:

  • The complete closure of the slopes or ski lifts. - An insufficient number of participants registered for a group lesson (the minimum number of participants for a group lesson is 3).

In the event of force majeure, the ESi International Ski School of Grand Tourmalet will refund the amount of services paid by the client, except for the amount corresponding to the subscription to the Mondial Assistance insurance contract no. 304188 offered by the ESi International Ski School of Grand Tourmalet.

INSURANCE :

The ESI Grand Tourmalet Ski School holds a "Civil Liability for Operations and Professional Civil Liability" contract currently in force under number 104 155 8001 taken out by the SIMS (International Union of Ski Instructors) with the Compagnie du Sport located at 6 rue Faure 05000 GAP.

PHOTOS AND VIDEOS:

We use photos and videos taken during our classes on our social media. Please inform us in writing beforehand if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed; otherwise, your consent will be assumed.

DATA PROTECTION:

The Grand Tourmalet International Ski School collects personal data through its website and sales staff for the sole purpose of responding to information and booking requests, tracking files, and maintaining its databases and schedules. Every individual has the right to access, modify, rectify, and delete their personal data (Article 34 of the French Data Protection Act) – please send your request to the address below. The recipients of this data are: the relevant internal departments and instructors of the Grand Tourmalet ESI Ski School, and the booking/accounting software subcontractor, 2C2L. Data in the form of computer files will be kept for a period of 5 years, and paper files for a period of 1 year. Regarding telephone data: in accordance with Article L.223-2 of the French Consumer Code, you have the right to register free of charge on the national opt-out list for telemarketing calls.

COMPLAINT / MEDIATOR:

Any complaint must be submitted in writing, with supporting documents, to the management of the ESI Grand Tourmalet Ski School, 10 boulevard du Pic du Midi, 65200 La Mongie, as soon as possible.
